Donate to the Alberta Floods

Heavy rains have brought extensive flooding across Alberta, impacting multiple communities and forcing thousands of people from their homes.

Extensive flooding across Alberta has led multiple Southeastern Alberta communities to declare a state of emergency. Tens of thousands have already been evacuated from their homes, while thousands more are preparing to leave at a moment’s notice. Rivers are anticipated to peak over the next two or three days as the water moves to the South-East portion of the province.

The Canadian Red Cross has deployed personnel to assist in several flood-affected communities and is assisting with the registration of evacuees, supplying cots, blankets and hygiene kits. In addition, the Red Cross is working in collaboration with local agencies and supporting reception centres in Exshaw, Lethbridge, DeWinton, Blackie , Nanton and City of Calgary shelters.

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Flood Response are the most efficient way for you to translate your care and concern into immediate, meaningful help for those affected by this disaster.

On behalf of Queen's Bands, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your contribution.

"When man finally learns to control the elements... When the winds will be quiet and the earth cannot be torn apart...When there will be no loneliness... no destitution... no war... When the last hungry man, woman or child is fed... Only then will there be no need for the Red Cross."
Albert Schweitzer – Nobel Peace Prize winner
