Lebanon is facing a deepening crisis. The economic and humanitarian challenges are vast. The global impact of Covid-19 will only make the situation worse, especially for the most vulnerable.

In response, The Lebanese Red Cross support committee, Canada section is supporting Red Cross efforts on the ground.

The Red Cross/Red Crescent is working to coordinate emergency relief and recovery efforts and get help to people in affected areas as quickly as possible. Money raised will enable the Red Cross/Red Crescent to prepare for, respond to and help individuals in Lebanon affected by humanitarian needs now and as the situation evolves. Current activities are mobile health outreach, support to health facilities, and strengthening of health systems. These activities may evolve based on emerging needs.

Your donation will help the most vulnerable in Lebanon through these difficult times.

When we launch an appeal, donations made in response to it are used to help individuals and communities identified in the appeal recover from emergencies and disasters. The funds will be designated for the purpose for which they were given. In the unlikely event that we raise more money than can be reasonably and effectively spent, we will strive to use any residual funds for similar purposes and/or in a similar geography to respond to other disasters and humanitarian needs throughout the world.

The fundraising cost related to any emergency appeal will not exceed five percent.
