Donate to the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal

The war in Ukraine has hit home for all of us. Many of our coworkers have family in Ukraine. As many of you have heard in the news hospitals have been deliberately targeted - including a maternity hospital. As first responders and healthcare workers these war crimes hit close to home for many of us; it is our calling to help when crisis happens. We are therefore organizing this fundraiser to assist to the people of Ukraine.

Money raised will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian needs generated by almost eight years of conflict, as well as preparedness and response efforts due to heightened tensions in Ukraine. The support could include preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including supporting populations displaced.

Your donation will help provide humanitarian assistance and alleviate suffering in Ukraine.

On behalf of Alberta Healthcare Workers & First Responders, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your donation.

"When man finally learns to control the elements... When the winds will be quiet and the earth cannot be torn apart...When there will be no loneliness... no destitution... no war... When the last hungry man, woman or child is fed... Only then will there be no need for the Red Cross."

– Albert Schweitzer, Nobel Peace Prize winner
