Thank you for your generosity. In every conflict, the Red Cross is a beacon of safety. Your donation will help provide humanitarian assistance and alleviate suffering in Ukraine. On behalf of Run 4 Refugees, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your donation.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supporters, the Government of Canada match of $30 million has been met as of March 4, 2022. Your donation will support those impacted by the crisis in Ukraine. Thank you for your generosity.

Money raised will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian needs generated by almost eight years of conflict, as well as preparedness and response efforts due to heightened tensions in Ukraine. The support could include preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including supporting populations displaced.

When we launch an appeal, donations made in response to it are used to help individuals and communities identified in the appeal recover from emergencies and disasters. The funds will be designated for the purpose for which they were given. In the unlikely event that we raise more money than can be reasonably and effectively spent, we will strive to use any residual funds for similar purposes and/or in a similar geography to respond to other disasters and humanitarian needs throughout the world.

The fundraising cost related to any emergency appeal will not exceed five percent.
